Not so great...

I bought these for 2dawg because they are his favorite. My dad fed them to him everyday when he stayed with me and he hasn't had any since dad died. I thought that they looked exceptionally festive with the toothpick and the cherry sticking in them.
Let me just tell you before you run out to buy these for your own dog, that when you open them up there are no toothpicks, and not a cherry one.
Mind you,
I'm not a big fan of meat in a can,
but this contains what appears to be a collection of dog peckers floating around in a phlegm bath.
Sorry 2dawg,
but if you think I'm going back out to Krogers tonight for cherries you've lost your mind.

Ahh, weenies in a can.....

I remember those vial little hunks of chicken beeks and cow testicles well.  For years mom had me convinced that these were the kind of hotdogs that the "rich" people of the world ate.  I was too little too argue and too innocent to know better.  Looking back, I realize that eating massive amounts of these little mixed animal meats and parts may have been the reason why I had to have my galbladder removed at such a young age.......  Beware of all the "rich people" foods of the world folks, I mean seriously who in hell would consider eating fish eggs, snails, or vienne sausages a delicacey other than the rich.  I guess having an abundance of money doesn't neccesarily mean you have an abundance of brains.
Love,
The baby sis

Hey

I like those things. Et'em up every time I had enough money to buy a can. I practically lived on'em when I was a bum hanging out at Mouth of Seneca up in Pendleton Co all those years ago. Canna them things, and a stack of saltines, From Harper's Store. MmmmmmmmOf course, back in the county, used to gettem from Man's store, or McClary's Grocery down in Round Hill. When I could afford them of course. But then, if you could afford those, you could find another nickle down under the front porch under the coke machine, then you could get some fresh sliced balogna, fry that up on a license plate over some sterno. That's good eat'n!

Merry Christmas

2Dawg get's Christmas treats a bit early?  We had a wiener roast late October and just realized we still had a left over package of dogs in the freezer compartment.  A bit risky since our fridge went out and we just bought a new one.  We have some feral cats that wander up here expecting hand-outs, so we chopped those up for them.  At first they acted like ravenous beasts of the wild tearing into them, but once they got full they started playing with them, batting them across the porch and attacking them.  If 2Dawg needs something to play with, I'll put a stamp on the foreheads of the cats and mail them to you.
Hope the Christmas season is a great one for you
